Turtle Tootsie Polishes | Summer 2016

Hello everyone! I have a post to share today about one of my all time favorite indie brands, Turtle Tootsie Polishes! The creator, Chrissy, has been making polish since the summer of 2015 and I've been there since the beginning! With that being said, this July 1st was her one year anniversary!!

Let me introduce you to the carnival collection. These are a combination of holographic and creamy polishes with holographic glitter. Let's get started!

First us is '1st Turtle-bration' in honor of TTP's first anniversary! This polish has a milky white crelly base with metallic micro red and blue, matte black micro, and blue hex micro glitters. It was opaque in 2-3 coats and the photos show one coat of topcoat.

Next up is 'Ferris Wheel', a silver holographic base with a mix of medium and small sized neon circle glitters in the colors green, pink, blue, orange, yellow, and purple. It had great glitter distribution with minimal fishing necessary to get the glitters out. I chose to wear it as three coats on its own but you could probably use it as topcoat!

This is 'Cotton Candy'! A soft bubble gum pink with an insanely smooth formula! It was a bit sheer on the first coat but builds up in 2. It had a quick dry time and dried glossy.

Next up is 'Tilt-A-Whirl', a bubble gum pink holographic. It was sheer on the first coat but built up in 2 coats. This polish along with all of the others in the collection had a quick dry time.

Here is 'Kettle Corn', a pale yellow polish with some extremely small glitter in it! It has a good formula for a yellow shade which I would expect nothing less from TTP! It was completely opaque in 3 and dried glossy.

This is 'Frozen Lemonade', the holo twin of 'Kettle Corn'! This polish is opaque in two coats and most of the brush strokes melted away when drying. This is such a unique holographic!

Next up is 'Taffy'! This is a lovely purple shade that was a bit sheer on the first coat but was opaque in two!

'Carousel Horse' is the next shade in the collection! This is a grape purple holographic that is opaque in 2 coats.

This is 'Motion Sickness', a unique green shade that is opaque in two flawless coats and dries glossy.

The name of the next polish is one of my favorites! It's called 'Deep Fried Pickles' and the name couldn't fit the polish more perfectly! haha! Its a green holographic that takes two coats to be opaque.

This is 'Blue Ribbon', a gorgeous royal blue with a flawless formula. Opaque in two coats and dries glossy.

Finally, I have 'Blueberry Snow Cone', a blue holographic opaque in 2 coats.

I also had the chance to try out two of the newly released scented topcoats! I tried funnel cake and watermelon. I highly recommend both of them!! The scent lasts for more than a day and the topcoat protects my mani for days when used with TTP sticky base coat.

This collection has already released and is available now at turtletootsiepolishes.com for $100 for the full sized collection or $60 for the minis. They are also on sale for $10 each.

Which ones will you be picking up??
