Bootie Babe | March 2016

Hey everyone! I have a new to me brand on my blog today! I have been planning on ordering a bottle for one of my good friend's birthday gift and I finally went ahead and purchased two polishes! I'm not going to share the first polish so I don't ruin her surprise but I order 'Loose Caboose' for myself!

'Loose Caboose' is a coral creme that leans a bit more red. The formula was insanely smooth and I am impressed!! It covered evenly in one coat but I did two just because I could still notice my VNL. For me, this is a shade that I would wear all year round on my toes. This may replace a similar shade, OPI 'Live. Love. Carnaval.' for my toe color! This polish had a good drying time and dries fairly glossy but shown is with a coat of Seche Vite.

When I opened the package I was super happy to see that Bootie Babe threw in a couple extras!! It totally made my day! So in addition to the two I ordered, I also received 'Top Shelf' and 'Hella Hiney'!

First I am going to show 'Top Shelf', which is a medium pink with a purple shimmer running through it. It was pretty sheer on the first coat but built up nicely in three coats. The shimmer isn't quite as apparent on the nail but still looks awesome when you're in the sunlight! This polish dried slightly matte but I added a coat of Seche Vite.

Finally I have 'Hella Hiney', which is a teal colored polish. The formula is almost thin and jelly like on the first coat but was still easy to apply. The second coat smoothed it all out and made it completely opaque! 'Hella Hiney' also dries fairly matte but one coat of topcoat should do the trick! I was worried about this polish staining because I have experienced this with similar colors so I used a peal of base coat and experienced absolutely no problems!

Overall I am extremely impressed by this brand and I will be repurchasing from them in the future! I really appreciate the hand written note and the freebies that were included!

Have you ever purchased from this brand? Let me know your experiences in the comments!

Nine Zero | January, February, March POTM

Hey everyone! I have a few swatches to share today of the Polish of the Month for Nine Zero Lacquer from the last three months! The creator of the brand, Jess, has an awesome YouTube channel where she does swatch and review videos. You can check it out here if you are not already subscribed.

Let's get started!

First up is 'January 2016'! This polish is a beautiful plum magenta colored scattered holo with extremely tiny micro glitter. It dried a tiny bit dull but one coat of topcoat does the trick! Two coats for full opacity and removal wasn't difficult for any of these polishes even with the large amount of micro glitter.

This is 'February 2016', a periwinkle that leans a bit more purple than blue. This polish is jam packed with holographic micro glitter in addition to the holographic base color and is easily one of the most holographic of the bunch. I actually wore this with just one coat to school the other day and I received so many complements on the holographic! I added a second coat for the swath photos but you can get away with one coat especially because of the sparkle. Like the first polish, this one dries a bit dull but one coat of seche vite makes it glossy.

Finally I have 'March 2016' which is a true green with the same formula as February's polish. It has a holographic green base with extremely tiny holo silver micro glitters. Like the others, it dries slightly dull and is opaque in two beautiful coats!

A new thing that Jess started in the month of February was having an overlap day where the next month's polish is also available, which makes total sense with shipping costs! One thing I do have to say is that shipping time was a little longer than I'm accustomed to but I can totally understand because I'm sure there have been a high volume of orders!

Overall, I love this series that Jess has started and I plan to purchase them all. I have not been disappointed in any of her polishes yet! If I had to pick a favorite of the three polishes, is definitely February's polish!! I love the color and its gorgeous sparkle!

Did you pick up any of these polishes?? Let me know your thoughts :)

The March polish is still available now at www.ninezerolacquer.com for $11. Follow Jess from Nine Zero on her Instagram here or here

Turtle Tootsie Polishes | Spring 2016

Hello everyone! I have a post to share today about one of my all time favorite indie brands, Turtle Tootsie Polishes! The creator, Chrissy, has been making polish since the summer of 2015 and i've been there since the beginning. With that being said, let me tell you about my favorite collection she has ever made!!

Let me introduce you to the Spring/Easter holographic collection! These are all pastel holos with the exception of one holo glitter topper. Let's get started!

First up is 'Spring Forward', an aqua/turquoise/teal colored (I always get them confused! haha) holographic! This is one of my favorites of the collection because I'm always attracted to blues. I used two coats for complete opacity!

Next up is a beautiful lavender holo called 'Spring Bouquet.' This was a two coat polish with another awesome formula! It's such a perfect color for this time of year and I can say that this will be on my nails multiple times this season!

This is 'Easter Bonnet', a very sky blue periwinkle holographic. I used two flawless coats for the swatch photos. This blue is easily one of the most holographic of the bunch!

Here is 'Peeptastic'! This is a very unique holographic color. It's a really cool yellowy green colored polish! I used two-three coats to be opaque.

Next up is 'Easter Morning Sunrise', a peachy, dusty rose shade! I'm in love with this color!! I used two coats for complete opacity

Next up is 'Fuzzy Bunny Slippers!' How cute is that name! It's a bubble gum pink linear holographic and it's GORGEOUS. The photos show two coats.

The last holo in this collection is 'Chocolate Bunny Ears', an insanely holographic nude polish. Great formula for a light color with a solid two coats to be completely opaque.

Last but not least is 'Easter Egg Hunt', a super fun glitter topper that makes any polish sparkle! The medium sized circle glitters are blue, yellow, pink, purple, and teal. Show is one coat over white.

Overall, this is a collection has blown me away! You NEED all of them! haha I can't even pick a favorite because I can see myself wearing all of them.

This collection has already released and is available now at turtletootsiepolishes.com for $75 the full sized collection or $45 for the minis. They are also on sale for $10 each.

Which ones will you be picking up??
